I love when the bride and groom give plenty of time for formals! This was an exceptionally beautiful day – beautiful couple… beautiful weather… beautiful location… just simply perfect! This was also an exceptionally wonderful day for me seeing that I’ve known Barbie since high school at the Las Vegas Academy. Although we’ve seen little of each other since we graduated we’ve stated connected through Facebook just like most people these days do! I was so thrilled when Barbie called me and asked if I would photograph her wedding at the Mt. Charlestion Lodge. I say ‘YES’ of course! I remember when she brought Joe to the studio so we could formally discuss all of the details — I was so excited for them! I could tell immediately that this couple was going to stand the test of time – forever! Barbie and Joe are the perfect blend of high-school sweethearts and best of of friends forever. I love seeing relationships like this – so genuine, so simple and so much love!!! Their wedding was very intimate and all about their guests and family. You could tell that everyone there was so happy and in full support of this blessed union. Even when I asked Barbie if they wanted me to stay and take more portraits of the bridal party – she thoughtfully and politely said, ‘no thank you– I just want to enjoy my guest now.’ I was so impressed with how even on her wedding day she was putting her other’s first… What a class act!
Congratulations Joe and Barbie! I was so thrilled to be a part of your amazing day — now looking forward to those newborn portraits next! LOL Just kidding folks Barbie is not pregnant… YET!
