Las Vegas Family Photographer {The Snyder Family}

Where do I start? Shannon (mom) is a fellow professional photographer with the cutest studio in Oregon called Defining Details. The Snyder family once lived here in Las Vegas and was recently back on vacation. Shannon contacted me a few months ago wanting professional portraits taken out in the desert while they were in town and of course, I was thrilled. But here’s where it gets fun. At the last minute, I remembered that my favorite prop vendor in town Nostoglic Resources had a blue trunk that would match the Snyder’s attire perfectly. I called  to secure the rental and decided that I just MIGHT need help caring it up the mountain, so I recruited my teen son Jonathan to tag along (with pay of course :). I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I WAS THINKING… It really wasn’t that heavy but the trail to our destination was far from smooth and caring a large trunk plus my gear up a mountain proved to be quite the workout, even with everyone’s help. By the time we got to our destination my arms were literally tremmoring… which means I couldn’t even hold my camera steady. How embarrassing! I am so glad they got a kick out of it and waited patiently for my arms to relax so we could actually start shooting. All throughout our photoshoot,overwhelming feelings of love and joy came over me. Later while looking through their images I thought to myself… what an extraordinary family! I text Shannon that evening on a hunch and asked her if they happen to be Christians and to no surprise, she replied yes. She told me that her kids had even asked if I was Christian when they got back in their car after our shoot. I just love when God connects people after His own heart. This session proved to be a blessing to me in more ways than one.

Enjoy!!
